Bunk Beds

Well, tonight we attempted to put Myann and Shane in the same bedroom. We have been resisting for some time now, but poor Anders needs a real bed. He has been sleeping in the pack n play since he was born and desperately needs a real bed. So we attempted to put Myann in Shane's bottom bunk and let Shane sleep on the top. No luck, I just had to put Myann back in her crib, since 2 hours later and they both are still up. Love our house and despite all the square footage, it is not set up for our family. There are only 3 bedrooms upstairs, so we have run out of rooms. I am not willing to give up our basement guest room and I am not comfortable with Shane sleeping down there anyway. I wanted to convert the playroom into a bedroom/playroom, but Brian is against that idea. So now we continue to try and have Myann and Shane share a room. Honestly, what I dread the most is Myann's ability to now get out of bed at will. I have said before, but that girl is not pleasant in the morning and is only tolerable if we let her have some time in bed in the mornings after she wakes up. I know she won't stay in bed anymore and will come out, which means I will get to deal with a newly awake Myann, pray for all of us to survive that.

Here are pictures as we put them to bed.

Good luck! Can you put a crib in the room with the bunk beds? We had to leave a toddler bed up for the boys for a few days after setting up the bunkbeds as they craved the familiarity of their old beds.

Kari - remember. Your Dad grew up with 2 sisters and 2 brothers in a 3 bedroom house as well. A much smaller 3 bedroom home. Some might disagree but your Dad turned out fine. Ha. The kids will be fine, just give them time.
