Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!

Happy Birthday Myann!!! Today you are 2 and I have no idea how 2 years went this fast. It seems like only months ago that I was in the hospital trying to keep you in for as long as possible. You were worth every second I spent on bedrest. You bring your daddy and I so much joy. You can be a stinker, and that is putting it kindly, but you can also be lovable, funny, silly, smart, and beautiful. I always knew I had to have a little girl, so I could try to recreate the wonderful relationship I have with my mother. Daddy was so relieved when we found out you were a girl because I always said we would keep having babies until I had a girl, so when we found out about you the pressure was off. You haven't quite wrapped your daddy around your finger, but I have confidence you will before long. I see the joy you bring him, though I don't think he finds your sassiness as funny as I do. I admittedly have a hard time disciplining you because you are so darn cute, even when you are rotten. Secretly, I think you are a lot like daddy and that's why he doesn't put up with your bull and he reads you. He knows when you are playing dumb and calls you out on it. Daddy has shown me just how smart you are. Everything you do is adorable to me and I would follow you around with the video camera 24/7 if I could. Your run is cute, your soft voice is cute, everything about you is precious. You never seem to surprise us either. We really thought you would not welcome Anders into our family happily, but you have been a wonderful big sister, so nurturing. Anders is lucky to have you.

Things you love right now: dressing up, even if that means putting on your daddy's underwear. your stuffed animals, you tote those animals (bear, monkey, reindeer) everywhere around the house - luckily you haven't asked to take them out of the house. You love to copy Shane, you repeat everything he says, sometimes he thinks your funny, sometimes you get on his nerves. You are a nudist in the making, you love stripping naked, usually at home, but sometimes in public. You always want to take off your diaper and sit on the potty, but you have only ever peed in the potty once.

Myann...you have brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. You are a tough girl and full of surprises. You made your mark on our lives 2 years ago; we were so afraid you were going to be born with health concerns, but you came out perfect. What lucky parents we are to have you for a daughter.
